Cary has conducted numerous court appointed Child Custody Evaluations, Family Needs Assessments, and Screenings for family courts throughout Southwest Idaho.  Cary brings a child-centered, respectful and detail-oriented approach to all of her work with family courts.

 

The goals of Family Needs Assessments are to protect the best interests of the children; to promote dispute resolution through agreement rather than litigation; and to present the Court with a written report (when dispute resolution is not possible) to assist the Court in making custody decisions and parenting time arrangements that are in the children’s best interest.

 

If appointed by the Court to complete a comprehensive assessment Cary will collect information, provide professional insight and will make recommendations related to parenting time division and other relevant matters to the Court.

 

In conducting the assessment, consideration is given to Idaho Statute 32-717, that relies on “Best Interests of the Child” standard that considers all relevant factors which may include:
